Kia Ora, my name is Mary, and I am the Head Teacher at Little Steps Montessori. I graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Teaching in July 2005. After a decade in mainstream education, I sought a new direction and was inspired by the Montessori approach. In 2015, I completed the AMI Montessori Assistant course and joined the Little Steps team. Over the past nine years, my three children have also attended Little Steps, and from a parent’s perspective, I have witnessed the immense value of Montessori education. I am dedicated to providing an environment that fosters self-discovery and independence, giving children the space and time to explore their interests and guiding them to reach their full potential.
